Now, without further ado, the following video is of Andrew and Dani’s first dance to Young And Beautiful by Lana Del Ray. This song is so haunting, romantic and dramatic, so we took full advantage of the music and choreographed unique patterns, turns, dips and lifts to highlight the dramatic moments of the song.
Andrew and Dani were a dream to work with. They were both high-achieving athletes in college and were dedicated to creating an absolutely AMAZING first dance full of interesting patterns, turns, dips and lifts. Having never danced before, they decided to take eight private lessons — my Champagne & Caviar package — and were diligent about practicing between each lesson in order to pull this dance off.
This dance includes elements of tango, salsa, waltz and swing, blended together to move them around the dance floor in a big way. I am so proud of what they accomplished. As you can tell by the emotion on their faces, they are truly expressing their love through their first dance.
I know that not everyone wants to have an elaborate first dance like this one. And that’s ok! I teach all styles of dance and levels, from simple and natural first dances to epic choreographed show-stopping wedding dances, like this one.
